In Cycle One of Secondary, students are encouraged to continue to think and learn about themselves. They will examine how their attitudes to academic life, personal choices and academic preferences will influence their academic success as they move through the Quebec School system. This is time to match interests and academic preferences to possible occupations, to think about how the choices made in secondary school will influence the range of occupations that are accessible in the future, and to better understand how each person's sense of personal competency can influence the choices we make in the future.
Three of these content items must be taught in Secondary One. The remaining three are taught in Secondary Two.
