The six ACGC items required in Elementary Cycle 3 can be taught in any order, as long as all students have an opportunity to experience the content during the two years that they are in Cycle 3.
That being said, the transition to Secondary school is a major preoccupation in Grade 6, so most schools opt to focus on the ACGC items related to High School transition in Grade 6. In cases where there are split classes or other extenuating circumstances, it is perfectly acceptable to change the order that the Elementary Cycle 3 content is taught from year to year.
The files below open to reveal lessons plans in both French and English that can be used to explore the content. These lesson plans are approved by MEES and can also be found on the Vibe Platform.
